With thirteen campuses across Wisconsin, UW Colleges offer the essential freshman and sophomore curriculum to prepare students for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program with a major in almost any field they choose.
Professors are hired for their expertise in teaching the liberal arts to beginning college students. The academic quality is demonstrated by the fact that the UW Colleges provides students the proficiencies and breadth of knowledge that prepare them for baccalaureate and professional programs, for lifelong learning, and for leadership, service, and responsible citizenship.
UW Colleges students benefit from the small classes and personal attention associated with a private school but at a public university cost. Out-of-classroom learning experiences commonly reserved for upperclassmen are available at UW Colleges campuses. Student government, research projects with professors, campus newspapers, sports, and theater are just a few activities that are part of campus life.

University of Wisconsin–Green Bay
The University of Wisconsin–Green Bay is a highly rated comprehensive university with exceptional new facilities, a dynamic atmosphere and a campus wide commitment to “Connecting learning to life.” A small- to mid-size institution, UW–Green Bay enrolls about 5,500 students. Founded in 1965, the University has one of the most modern and attractive campuses in the tradition-rich University of Wisconsin System. The setting is safe, scenic and comfortable, with wooded trails, a nine-hole golf course and a million-dollar view of the bay.
The University prides itself on “connecting.” Students connect what happens in the classroom to needs in the community. They examine issues from multiple perspectives and work closely with talented and dedicated faculty members to solve real-world problems. The UW–Green Bay academic plan promotes hands-on learning through internships, research and team projects. It also demands that students have the ability to make connections—to examine issues from different perspectives, and to work effectively with those from other fields.
University of Wisconsin–Parkside
UW-Parkside has grown and matured around the core values of excellent and accessible education; community engagement; diversity, and inclusiveness. These principles define the institution and its relationship with the constituents it serves.
UW-Parkside is a beautiful wooded campus on nearly 800 acres and is centrally located in the thriving metropolitan region with Milwaukee 30 miles to the north, and Chicago 60 miles south. The university plays vital roles in preparing students for an enriched quality of life, and encouraging the entrepreneurship essential to regional growth. Graduates benefit from diverse opportunities with major employers, the public sector and emerging organizations in southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois.
UW-Parkside is renowned for its partnerships with educational, service, business and cultural organizations. The Carnegie Foundation recognized the campus for its initiatives and commitment to community engagement, and Parkside is the only college or university in Wisconsin so designated, and is among only a handful of institutions nationwide.
The universities best and most senior faculty teach all levels of undergraduate courses. Most class sizes are small, ensuring greater student-faculty interaction. Many students conduct research with faculty members in their fields of specialization, an opportunity some universities restrict to graduate students. Parkside’s faculty members are active and successful scholars whose work is published, presented and performed at national and international venues. Scholarship is valued in hiring, tenure and promotion.
University of Wisconsin–Stout
UW-Stout is a place of beauty, history and character-a place to prepare for a lifetime of challenges and rewards. UW-Stout is a comprehensive, career-focused polytechnic university where students, faculty and staff use applied learning, scientific theory and research to solve real-world problems, grow the state's economy and serve society. UW-Stout has a long and rich history of providing a distinctive array of programs that produce graduates who are prized in the marketplace.
